About IEC 61010
The IEC 61010 safety standard provides guidelines for the design, testing, and use of electrical equipment in laboratory, industrial, and similar settings.
This standard establishes requirements for equipment construction, materials used, and testing procedures to ensure that the equipment is safe to use and does not pose unnecessary risks to operators or the environment.
IEC 61010 relation to other standards
IEC 61010 safety standard is linked to IEC 61326 standards for Electromagnetic Compatibility.
Although the IEC 61326 series of standards is applicable in line with IEC 61010, the FDA recommend the use of IEC 60601-1-2 test levels and the methods defined in the IEC 61326 series
